Form 918 is an application for an Extended Eligibility (temporary) Dependent Child (subclass 445) visa. It lets a dependent child join a parent who holds a subclass 445 visa, a temporary Partner visa in Australia, or a provisional Partner visa overseas, and to remain until a decision is made on the parent's permanent partner visa. After grant, the child must separately request a permanent partner visa on form 1002 before the parent's application is decided.
